It came down to a point where I had to ask myself — do I see myself doing the same thing until the rest of my life or do I believe there is something more?
Mind you, I was doing what I loved, I had friends and family, a beautiful apartment in the city center and I was happy. The thing is, settling isn’t really my thing. I am a free spirit and want to live my life to the fullest. I was ready to take a leap of faith and dive into the unknown.
At that point I still…
I think it is safe to say that what is happening with social media these days has gone out of hand — people posting about their perfect lives, canceling each other when we disagree, or sharing their most vulnerable moments.
Ever since I got into coaching, I kept hearing — be authentic, share your story, be real. We have been oversaturated with seemingly perfect glimpses of people’s lives, which set the bar high of how we should be living.
Let’s face it — life sucks sometimes, but we don’t share those moments.
To honor that we have created the opposite…
It was 2012 and the end of the world was nearing. I had decided to make some changes in my life, so I broke up with my toxic boyfriend, kicked out my lazy-ass roommate, quit smoking, and started meditating.
I had awakened spiritually in my teens, but instead of pursuing that path, I chose to party instead. Even though I knew it wasn’t good for me I wanted to live life to the fullest. So I did. For years.
Let me get this straight — I am actually an introverted digital nomad who loves staying at home. Still, not having a choice has left me very anxious and overwhelmed. I had to find ways to keep my sanity, in addition to my spiritual practices. Here is what I came up with.
During the first lockdown, I ordered a ukulele. Yes, I know it wasn’t “essential,” but honestly, it was for my mental health. I’ve always wanted to learn the ukulele, and I figured it would come in handy as it’s a small instrument you can take anywhere.
Honestly, I feel like I’ve had several lifetimes within this life! As an avid learner with a curious mind, I strive to learn every day. I learn through life experiences, heartbreaks, human relations, breakdowns, exploring other cultures on my travels, spiritual awakenings, and from my wonderful teachers that appeared when I was ready.
Recently I went through a “middle-age crisis” and I figured since I have lived a full life I might as well share the wisdom I accumulated over the years. …
I’ve always been an active girl — I’ve been a dancer for 15 years, I skied, did Yoga, Capoeira, Kick-Boxing, I hiked…I was no stranger to sports, yet never needed to watch my diet. I wasn’t skinny but was able to maintain a good medium-sized weight I was comfortable with.
However, life happened, and stress got in the way. I stopped working out for a while, ate what I wanted, and as I aged, I noticed the weight was harder to shed.
When I entered my 30s, I noticed this change in my body, and sadly it got worse as…
“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.”
― Bob Marley
Music has been a part of my life for a really long time. My mom was a sound engineer at the national radio station, so I grew up in studios listening to various artists. Considering that lead to my singing career it is safe to say it made a huge impact on my life.
Whenever life gets me down, music lifts me up. It’s amazing how something so simple can make a difference in your mood.
Music can influence our mood on an emotional…
Several years ago, I started my coaching practice and decided to get trained to be a Life Purpose Coach. I realized I had been helping people discover their life purpose “unofficially” for years, so I figured I might as well get certified.
The thing is, I have been living my purpose for most of my life, and I couldn’t imagine it any other way. I wish more people would live that way, as it truly makes a difference. Knowing why you’re here on Earth is life-changing! …
It’s not easy to be constantly inspired, so I have developed these three methods to help me stay on track and get my writing done with ease.
When I moved to Paris I discovered Meetup. It’s a website and an app where you can find events related to your interests. What I love about it is that you can connect with people who are interested in the same topics and meet in person.
Last year I decided to get organized and make sure I dedicated time for my writing, so I joined a writers meetup group called “Ready, Set, Write”…
I think it is safe to safe that most of us have some preconceptions about money. Some good, some bad, and some indifferent. The world we live in requires us to think about it, as it allows us to have material things, experiences, support the lifestyle of our choosing and cover our needs and wants.
We think about how to get more money to feel secure, safe, and ultimately free to live the best life possible.
I started working on my “money mindset” years ago, and have realized that a lot of my subconscious beliefs around money have been influenced…
