My Top 5 Tips For Working At Home

If this quarantine has made you work from home without preparation, here are my top 5 tips to make this a more enjoyable experience in the long run.

I’ve been my own boss for over 15 years now and working from home has been awesome, but it had some challenges too! I have learned a few things along the way that I’d like to share with you today.

1. Don’t work from bed — create your workspace!

Seriously, I know — it’s very tempting to just stay in your PJs and work from bed, and not that I think you shouldn’t do it EVER, just don’t make it a habit. Even though you don’t have to go to the office, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have your workspace. Pick a corner with the least distractions and make that your working area. That way you can separate your office hours/work time and free time. Trust me, this is so important in the long run.

2. Get dressed and ready for work

Again, I get it — it’s tempting to stay in your PJs or loungewear and work with no make-up and messy hair. Been there, done that. This doesn’t help your productivity and won’t help with that work / free time separation, which is really important. The thing is after a while, days…
